Brechfa West Wind Farm Control Building and Sub-station

Project Description:

Traditional storey and a half masonry building with bespoke attic trusses with a total floor area of 248m2. Building to facilitate new 28 turbine windfarm. Reinforced concrete basement-style control pits and foundation and structural steel staircase fixed externally leading to mess room within attic space. The project has site compound works which include site drainage, rainwater harvesting system, firefighting tank, ducting and palisade security fencing.


Kilgallioch Wind Farm Control Building

Project Description:

Construction of a 735m² control building for a new 96 turbine wind farm. Large basement pit for control rooms. 50T Structural steel frame with a slate/metal cladding composite roof and masonry walls. High specification internal offices, raised access flooring control rooms, store rooms and welfare facilities. 10 months. This project also included a rain water harvesting and treatment system and drainage system.


Goole II Wind Farm Control Building

Project Description:

Traditional masonry building construction with tile and timber truss roof of 207m² floor area. Reinforced concrete raft foundation with integral cable trenches and basement pits.
This project included the construction of a 2800m² sub-station compound for network distribution. The compound included support structures for transformers, circuit breakers and disconnectors and a cable duct network. Also included is security fencing and all site drainage works.

Construction of a 220m² control building for a new 22 turbine wind farm. Large basement pit for control rooms. Structural steel frame with aluminium composite cladding to the roof and walls. Internal welfare facilities, raised access flooring control rooms and store rooms. Rainwater harvesting and treatment system and drainage system. This project included the construction of a sub-station compound for network distribution. The compound included support structures for transformers, circuit breakers and disconnectors and a cable duct network. Also included is security fencing and all site drainage works.
